Getting Connected
Setup Your Computer
Find a comfortable place for your computer and set everything up before beginning, but don't turn your computer on yet.
Connect Ethernet Cable
Connect the orange ethernet cable to your computer. Never unplug this cable from the wall. We've provided this cable to you but will charge you if it is lost or damaged.
Turn On Your Computer
It's easier to get online if you turn your computer on after you connect the ethernet cable. If you were impatient and already turned it on, go ahead and turn it off and back on again.
Open Your Web Browser
Load up your favorite web browser (our favorite is Firefox). If your browser doesn't automatically display our registration page then go to the following url: http://resnet.ucr.edu/register/
Register Your Computer
Follow the instructions on the registration page and restart your computer when you have completed the registration process.
