Network Devices

Using additional network devices to connect to the Resnet network, such as but not restricted to routers, bridges, or wireless access points is prohibited.

In the past, improper use of these devices has caused serious network outages which are difficult to isolate and respond to when the devices are locked in a students room.

Resnet is working with the campus networking group to find a reasonable solution that would allow students to connect more than one device to the internet. Until then, we ask that students refrain from connecting their own devices and potentially making it difficult or impossible for their friends and neighbors from connecting to the internet as well.
